When the new COO of Free Soul, contacted me asking, "Can you set up our new Procurement Team?", I replied with a resounding "Yes!". I'd previously set up the Procurement Teams for him at HUEL and Dirtea so felt well place to do the same again at Free Soul.
Free Soul is a fantastic company designing and selling very high quality DTC health products tailored specifically for women including specialist powder formulas, supplements and gummies.
Free Soul was #10 in The Sunday Times fastest growing companies and to match this growth they needed a high quality supply chain and procurement function. Using my tried and tested approach, I conducted a focused health check, created their procurement and sourcing strategy and devised a value plan.
We visited and assessed suppliers across Europe and Asia with me training the Free Soul Team throughout this period.
The Result?
We significantly strengthened the whole procurement operating platform including the suppliers and supply chains, processes, systems and capabilities. Through advanced cost modelling, quantity efficiencies and negotiation I unlocked major savings, that the suppliers deemed were fair and justified.
